The Knit Wits meet each Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to work on their knitting or handwork projects and share in a lively conversation.
They will have a holiday party at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5. If you would like to join us, bring a dish to pass, one gag gift and an item for the food pantry.
The Knit Wits also will sell holiday treats from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at the library. The proceeds from the sale will benefit the library. You can take care of your holiday baking and support the library at the same time, all without getting your kitchen dirty.

Do you know someone from the area who has interesting stories to tell about life in and around Ontario? We would like to gather stories about the area and create a community book that will be available to check out at the library. The stories do not need to be written already, although you certainly can write them down. We would like to interview people about their experiences living in the Ontario area. The group will then edit and put the stories into writing. For more information, call the library at 337-4651.

The book group will discuss “Silent Night” by Mary Higgins Clark at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10. The novel is a Christmas suspense story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. Stop by the library for a copy if you would like to join us.
