Kendall meal site to host birthday party, music day

By JOYCE THONESEN | Kendall meal-site manager

We are back. Yes, we are back at the meal site. A big thank you to the Kendall American Legion for letting us use its hall for the last three months. But it is good to be back, and the new road looks great.

Now for the site news. Meal-site attendees who will have birthdays this month are Norbert Popp, Francis Trepes and Bruce Wilson. Our birthday club will have a belated birthday party for Glorine Benson on Thursday, Sept 18.

Friday, Sept 19, will be our music day. We always have a good time that day. Thanks to all who come and make music for us. Everyone is welcome to join us. Just call 463-7622 the day before if you want to have lunch with us.

Deanna Zanon will be at our site Tuesday, Sept. 23, to help seniors fill out their energy assistance applications for the heating season. I have a signup sheet, so call me if you want me to put down your name. She will be here at 10 a.m.

Just another update: We will have flu shots here Wednesday, Oct. 15. I’ll have more on that next month.

That’s it for now. Join us for lunch sometime.
