Elroy meal site to host September events

Elroy meal site

It’s hard to believe that September is almost here. The kids will soon be back in school again. The neighborhoods will grow quiet – no laughter or shouting from the kids. We hope everyone had a very enjoyable summer.

The senior bus will go to Baraboo on Friday, Sept. 12. Call the ADRC office at 847-9371 to reserve a spot on the bus.

Grace Lutheran Church in Elroy will have its annual smorgasbord of Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 4-8 p.m. Check it out: It will offer all you can eat and great food.

The foot clinic will be at the Elroy meal site on Thursday, Sept. 4; note the change to the first Thursday of the month for September only. Call 462-5175 to set up an appointment.

Don’t forget the sharing supper at Elroy Methodist Church on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The birthdays for September are the following:

• Saturday, Sept. 6 — Eileen Miller

• Sunday, Sept. 7 — Harry Tiedtke (he will be 104)

• Wednesday, Sept. 10 — Erna Clickner and Mike Ziems

• Saturday, Sept. 13 — Diane Lawry and Dean Preuss

• Monday, Sept. 22 — Barb Beres

• Tuesday, Sept. 23 — Marian Wilson

• Monday, Sept. 29 — Eddie Miller and Linda Marshall

• Tuesday, Sept. 30 — Larry Marshall

We wish all of these people a happy birthday.

Come and check out our meal side at Grace Lutheran Church, 226 Erickson St., Elroy. Call us at 462-5175 if you have any questions. Join your friends for a good, home-cooked meal, friendship and fun. Don’t forget that bingo starts every day at 11 a.m.
