Royall’s 10U baseball team has successful season

Royall traveled to Pittsville in late June for a live arm 10 and under baseball tournament and returned with a 3-0 record and the first-place hardware.

• Game No. 1 — Royall over Tomahawk, 8-2

• Game No. 2 — Royall over Nekoosa, 11-10

• Game No. 3 — Royall over Pittsville, 7-4

Pitching for Royall:

• Bryce Gruen — six innings, struck out 15

• Nate Vieth — six innings, struck out 11

• Charlie Joyce — two innings, struck out five

• Silas Bellows — two innings, struck out three

• Alex Bruce — two innings, struck out two

Leading hitters:

• Bryce Gruen — BA: 780 (7/9), on base 10/12

• Nate Vieth — BA: 670 (4/6), on base 8/10

• Alex Bruce — BA: 560 (5/9), on base 6/10

• Silas Bellows – BA: 500 (5/10), on base 6/11

• Charlie Joyce — BA: 450 (5/11), on base 7/13

Royall hosted a 10 and under pitching-machine invite July 12 and came away with a 3-0 record.

• Game No. 3 — Royall over Brookwood, 14-3
