Two Kendall residents were apprehended after allegedly driving drunk from a softball game in Ontario on Thursday, according to Ontario Police Chief Matt Hoskins.
At about 9:21 p.m., the Ontario Police Department received a traffic complaint of a possibly intoxicated driver next to the baseball field.
According to a witness, the male driver got out of the vehicle, and the female passenger got into the driver’s seat and was possibly intoxicated as well.
Ontario police observed the suspect vehicle moving westbound on Main Street at about 9:31 p.m., going left of center and completely into the opposite side of the roadway.
After a traffic stop, police did field sobriety tests and then apprehended Brian R. Olson, 38, and Tena M. Hammond, 51, transporting them to Vernon County Jail.
Olson faces the following charges: operating motor vehicle while intoxicated, fifth offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; false display of license plate/nonregistration; driving a vehicle with a suspended license; and possession of an open intoxicant in a motorvehicle.
Hammond was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (first offense).
