A Wilton man and a Tomah juvenile are facing charges after they fled police June 12.
According to the Tomah Police Department, Devon Schoolman, 19, was driving eastbound on West Juneau Street with three passengers when an officer spotted him. The officer was aware Schoolman had a suspended driver’s license and got behind him to perform a traffic stop and parked his vehicle. Then the four occupants ran in different directions.
The officer followed Schoolman in his squad car until Schoolman surrendered to police. Schoolman was taken into custody for obstructing an officer and bail jumping.
A second officer followed Schoolman’s passenger, a 15-year-old Tomah boy, and took him into custody.
Charges of obstructing an officer, resisting an officer, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia were referred against the boy, and he was turned over to the Monroe County Human Services Department.
