Our modern technology is quite amazing! When traveling to unfamiliar areas, you can take advantage of the technology to help you to reach your destination. Yet for centuries God has availed Himself to mankind for His help and direction.
Here in the Old Testament, His leadership and direction availed the people of Israel. Isaiah 58:11 — “And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones, and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose water fail not.”
Yet, unfortunately Israel in Isaiah’s day looked to other gods and did not follow their God. He desired to lead and guide them, but they did not choose to listen to or obey Him.
How about you? The Lord Jesus Christ is the only Savior and way to God. Have you grasped your own sin and debt to Almighty God? Have you repented of your sins and trusted in the Lord Jesus? That is the only way to God’s forgiveness and salvation. Jesus is the way. Yet once we come to know Him, He desires to lead and guide us in each day continually.
Oh, let us look to His Word the Bible, earnestly seek Him daily in prayer, and know the great blessing of His guidance and leadership in our lives.
Romans 8:14 — “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
