The Brookwood Junior/Senior High School artists of the month for March are Anuttaree Thoopluang, Ashlyn Osmond, Austin Gettinger, Josh Oelke and Corentin Roze.
All are juniors, except Gettinger, who is a sophomore.
Both Thoopluang and Gettinger made “excellent prints in 2-D art,” said art teacher Patricia Holte.
Thoopluang created a channel print, and Gettinger stamped his design.
Using pencil, Osmond, Oelke and Roze each combined two opposite subjects into one drawing. Roze used six different drawing techniques to reproduce M.C. Escher’s print of hands drawing each other.
Thoopluang, an exchange student from Thailand, is staying with Rebecca and Ryan Finley of Ontario.
Osmond is the daughter of Roslyn Chamberlain of Wilton; Gettinger, the son of Tina Gettinger of Wilton; and Oelke, the son of Wanda and Mark Oelke of Kendall.
An exchange student from France, Roze is staying with Melody and Tim Dohm of Ontario.
