Wow! Who would have guessed? Nineteen people attended the tatting workshop at the Kendall Public Library on Nov. 9. We were somewhat crowded, but we fit everyone in.

Tatting instructor Justa Small kept busy helping those who tried their hand at this handiwork. We may schedule additional tatting sessions in the future, but to keep our groups more manageable, we would have people sign up. Thanks to everyone who attended and remained flexible in rather cramped quarters.

LeRoy Petersen and Joe Bohn will present a musical program at 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the library. This is LeRoy’s second time performing at the library. Everyone is invited, and there is no charge for the program.

Thanks to Darlene Rieck, we have a delightful Green Bay Packer fan on display at the library. The stuffed animal, decked out in a Packer uniform, is a Build-a-Bear item.

A drawing for the Packer Backer will be Saturday, Dec. 15. To be eligible for the drawing, one must participate in a food drive for the area food pantries. Any adult or child who brings in a non-perishable food to the Kendall Public Library can register a child 12 and younger.

Registrations will be limited to one per day for each child.

The last day to make a donation and sign up for the drawing will be Friday, Dec. 14. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends are all eligible to register children they would like to see win this fun item.

The library will be closed Thanksgiving Day, but it will be open during regular hours Friday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
