Man injured in rural Norwalk accident

A rural Norwalk man was injured late yesterday after he fell from the top of a moving vehicle, according to Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin.

Ryan T. Jacobson, 32, of rural Cashton was operating a vehicle on private property located at 21108 County Hwy. T, Norwalk, when a passenger, Joseph Miller, 22, of rural Norwalk climbed out of the sunroof and rode on top of the vehicle.

Jacobson stopped the vehicle and put the vehicle into reverse, causing Miller to fall off of the vehicle and strike his head on a rock that was in the field. Jacobson then picked up Miller and transported him to the Mayo Clinic Sparta Campus for treatment of an apparent head injury.

    Man dies in Wellington accident
