N-O-W continues to investigate shorted Title aid

Freedom of information isn’t free, the Norwalk-Ontario-Wilton School Board learned at its meeting July 14.

It took a check for $641.33 from the district to the Department of the Census before research could be done regarding why the district had been shorted federal Title I funds after the Wilton detachment from the Elroy-Kendall-Wilton School District (now Royall School District) 14 years ago.

The N-O-W District is attempting to determine if correct information about the total student count ever was sent from the Wisconsin Department of Instruction to the Census Bureau.     Monroe County added to EAB quarantine

    The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection last week placed Monroe County in the emerald-ash-borer quarantine area, as the destructive insect had been found in Oakdale, near the Interstate on-off ramps, according to a press release prepared by the University of Wisconsin-Extension office
